Petra Collins inspired neon photography, taken using coloured cellophane over studio lights, from which I made quick pencil sketches and experimented with shading and cross hatching techniques in coloured pencil.

After researching the artist Natalie Foss, I drew my own inspired pencil drawings from my photographs and then played with pattern and colour on photoshop.

I was inspired by Golf Wang ad campaign to take images that had a similar playful streetwear style, which I edited using photoshop, to change backgrounds from white to the Summer colours used cohesively in the Golf Wang editorial campaign.

Illustration of my final photographs using photoshop and a graphics tablet to experiment with drawing digitally and using layers within illustration software.

Digital doodling illustration experiment, influenced by Hattie Stewart's magazine cover illustrations, created with a graphics tablet on top of my Golf Wang inspired photographs.

After researching Hattie Stewart, I was inspired to develop my own graphic mini magazine so I went on to further research magazines, magazine title typefaces and the anatomy of typography.

Further typography research and inspiration.

Typography experiment using block print letters and printing ink, followed by a development of my magazine name, Deadstock, and potential title typography typefaces.

Various experiments of layout and typography for Deadstock's cover, featuring one of my photographs inspired by Golf Wang.

A typography experiment focused on the distortion of letters and layout, made through playing around with filters, fonts and transformations on photoshop. I am currently still developing my magazine, Deadstock, and intend to continue to research and experiment with typography, layout and content until I have developed a mini fanzine-inspired final piece.

In my textiles project, Japan, I have been researching illustration, fabric printing and shirt collars. These are my own illustrations, inspired by Koyamori, that I have developed into printed designs on collars.

I then went on to look at repeat patterns, using photoshop, to make my own repeat patterns of my illustrations.

Emma Lazauski inspired illustration, using watercolour and pen.

I then used my illustration to create a repeat pattern and a brush preset on photoshop which allowed me to play around with colour and layout within textiles patterns.

Drawings and scans of my drawings from a life drawing class I attended, from my previous exam title sketchbook; Curves.

An artist study, researching curves of the body, which inspired these sketches from photographs I had taken previously.
